Swallowfields farm is a family business, run by fourth generation farmer Peter Burgess with sons Jamie and Ian.
We turn our animals out to graze in the New Forest – just as farmers have done for centuries.
If you like your meat to come from a healthy, happy environment in the English countryside, our produce is for you.
You can find our produce at shops and restaurants including: The Farmer’s Butcher (on-site butcher’s shop at Swallowfields Farm), Lisa’s Larder, Upton’s of Bassett, Newhouse Venison & Game and The Pig Hotel. You can also order whole or half carcasses direct from us (butchered to your specifications on request). Contact us for further information.
* Pannage season is held annually for 60 days between September and November. This medieval tradition allows us to release pigs out onto the New Forest to feed on acorns.

Here's what are customers are saying.
"a quality product with true provenance..."
Jamie supplies his fabulous Wild Boar and Pigs for my farm shop and they consistantly remain some of my most popular products. For me a quality product with true provenance that is reared locally in a natural enviroment is essential. This coupled with Jamie’s professional service makes him one of my key suppliers and a pleasure to do business with.
"the people we fed are still raving about it now..."
Recently purchased 1/2 a wild boar to use at our proportion pop up, myself and many of the people we fed are still raving about it now, exceptional depth of flavour in the meat, the tastiest fat & some of the best crackling I have eaten!
"a stronger flavour then regular pork..."
We've been selling swallowfields wild boar for a while now and get great feed back from our customers, it has a stronger flavour then regular pork, but being farmed to the right age is also tender too. Having looked around the farm with Jamie, its also nice to report back to our customers, the good clean, free range wild boars, are really well looked after, a great set up. A must try for all pork lovers.
